The Rose Theatre is a 63,000 square foot 1000-seat theatre containing two performance halls.
The building was built on a floodplain and located within an existing three level underground parking garage not originally constructed with the performing arts building in mind. The orchestra pit was sunken three metres into the first level of the underground parking.
Extensive vibration and sound isolation was required due to a busy adjacent railway line. Isolation was required for both ground borne vibration and external air borne sounds. The parking garage was maintained for use during construction.
