This $17,000,000 student residence that houses 450 single occupancy rooms utilized the Design Build Finance Maintain Operate (DBFMO) model. It consists of 4 storeys and approximately 125,000 ft2 of useable space.
Olds College Centennial Village Student Housing was built using a wood frame with masonry elevator and stair shafts, a concrete pile and grade beam foundation, and it incorporated Cross-Laminated-Timber (CLT) panels for floor and shear wall elements.
The building also features a 20m clear span link on the 3rd floor between the east and west residential wings.
