The new 55,000 SF Bayers Lake Community outreach centre located in Halifax Nova Scotia consists of 3 floors of new outpatient space along with climate-controlled underground visitor parking and patient drop off.

The structure itself consists of a structural steel mechanical penthouse and cast in place concrete flat floor slabs on an approximate 9mx9m modular bay to facilitate future flexibility.
The building is supported on conventional spread footings sitting on a “site ready” compacted granular pad.
The new Community Outpatient Centre will include:
– space for primary care services to be delivered by a health care team comprised of doctors, nurses and other health professionals
– clinics such as physio and occupational therapy, high blood pressure, diabetes and orthopedic assessment
– 17 examination rooms
– 24 dialysis stations
– diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasounds)
– blood collection
– post-surgery or post-treatment follow-up appointments
