Stephenson wins TCA award

We’ve long believed our commitment to innovation is what has helped our firm stand apart, and now we’ve got at least one more reason to believe it: Stephenson Engineering has been awarded the Toronto Construction Association’s (TCA) exclusive innovation award. The annual reward recognizes businesses that have applied creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to solve challenging construction-related problems.

The award was presented to Stephenson for its pioneering work collaborating with its partners to devise the unique and iconic mega-delta frame design employed at Queen Richmond Centre West in Downtown Toronto.

“This is the kind of project every structural engineer dreams about: the opportunity to employ talent, creativity, and innovation to design a unique structure that will actually be exposed to public eyes,” noted Stephenson Principal Zoran Tanasijevic, who accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.

We received the award at the TCA’s Annual General Meeting at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto last week. The event also featured an excellent presentation on the future of Toronto’s waterfront from none other than John Campbell, President and CEO of Waterfront Toronto.
